Persona

Sailor Moon is not your typical heroine. Being she is only a teenager she exibits teenager qualities. Like she likes to chase boys and play video games. She's usually accused of being a klutz, a ditz, or a crybaby (usually these accusations come from Rei :)). She has a kind heart, though, and will fight with a vengance to protect someone she cares for. At first, she dosen't take her duties as Sailor Moon very seriously, but as the series goes on, she gains a bit of maturity and responsibility. What I've always found interesting is that, as I said before, Usagi's not your typical "Super Heroine." For the most part, Usagi dosen't want to be Sailor Moon. Sure, it's kinda fun and all, but usually she'd rather be at the arcade or at the snack shop. Pretty much just like a typical 14-year old would act.

Past

During the Silver Millennium Usagi was called Princess Serenity who was heir to the Moon Kingdom. Her mother Queen Serentiy raised her to follow in her footsteps and one day rule the moon; however, she spent most of her time gazing at Earth because she was in love with a prince from there. When she was Princess Serenity she was good at many things, such as ice skating, but she lost most of these talents after she was reborn on Earth. She and the others where reborn about 1000 years into the future. The reason why they were reborn is because during the Silver Millennium Queen Beryl attacked the moon and killed the senshi who were trying to protect it. Beryl also took Mamoru, prince of the Earth, when he was trying to protect Usagi from her. Usagi didn't want to live without Mamoru so she tried to go with him, but when she did Beryl killed them both. Queen Serenity used the Silver Imperial Crystal to trap Queen Beryl and the negaverse, using most of her power in the process. With the rest of her power she sent everyone including Beryl and the negaverse into the future to be reborn on Earth because she didn't want Usagi's life to end that way. She also sent everything Usagi and other senshi would need to fight the negaverse if the negaverse ever broke free again. When they are reborn in the future they have no memory of the past. The negaverse breaks free about 14 years later, so Luna and Artemis start reviving the senshi.

Future

In the distant future, everyone on Earth becomes frozen in a deep sleep until sometime in the 30th century. When that happens, Neo-Queen Serenity frees and heals everyone with the Silver Imperial Crystal. Neo-Queen Serenity just so happens to be Usagi in the future. She is married to King Endymion, who as you probably guessed is the future Mamoru. They have a daughter that they name Usagi, but everyone calls her Chibi-Usa (Rini) so there is less confusion. They live in a crystal palace in Tokyo now know as Crystal Tokyo, which is from where Mamoru and Usagi rule Earth. The sailor senshi are also still alive and they protect Usagi and her family.
